Paul Felzke, Owner & Repairman
Paul Felzke is the Owner of Tulsa Band
Instruments. He is also our Head Repair
Technician. He received his formal
repair training at Western Iowa Tech in
the late 1970's. He worked at the Sharp
and Nichel in Oklahoma City and Conn
Keyboards before opening his first
repair shop in Tulsa called Felzke
Repair. In 1985, he started Tulsa Band
Instruments. The store was started as
mainly a repair shop, doing repairs for
Schools and professional musicians.
Paul is THE repairman in Tulsa, and has
repaired instruments for David Sanborn,
Doc Severinson, Mike Anderson, Will
Campbell, and Grady Nichols to name a
few. Paul's main instruments are
saxophone and flute, but he thinks he
can play guitar, oboe, and
bassoon.
Ceth Barnett, Store Manager
Ceth Barnett is a graduate of Oral
Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, with a
undergraduate degree in Trombone
Performance. His teachers were L. Dale
Barnett, Bill Hartman and Dr. Stanley
George. Ceth is a freelance trombone
player in the Tulsa Area. As a private
lesson instructor, he is adjunct
faculty at Tulsa Community College. He
currently performs with the Tulsa
Starlight Band, the Sentimental Journey
Big Band and the Tulsa Slide Company.
He has performed with the Tulsa Signature Symphony and Tulsa Philharmonic. Artists he has performed with include Clarke Terry, Steve Wiest, Frank Mantooth, The Temptations, Byron Stripling, Carmen, Colin Raye, and Peter Cetera. Ceth worked with Union High School from 1997 to 2005 as part of the visual staff, trombone teacher and taught the Trombone Choir, and worked as a consultant at Bartlesville High School in 2006. He is also the Director of the Women�s Basketball Band at Oral Roberts University. Ceth is the Sales Manager at Tulsa Band, and our Brass Specialist. Ceth currently plays a Conn 88HTG, Bach 16G (circa 1978), and a straight King 4B (circa 1960). His mouthpieces of choice are the Schilke 51 and Griego 6.5.

Alex Warrior, Sales Associate
Alex Warrior is a graduate of the
University of Tulsa with an
undergraduate degree in Trumpet
Performance and graduate of University
of Missouri-Kansas City with a master's
degree, also in Trumpet Performance. He
has performed with the award winning
Fountain City Brass Band, Puccini
Festival, Northland Symphony, Kansas
City Civic Orchestra, and Tulsa
Symphony Orchestra. His teachers
include Ron Predl, Steve Haefner, and
Dr. Keith Benjamin. Alex has performed
and studied with such notable artists
as Charles Geyer, Byron Stripling,
Bobby Watson, Conrad Herwig, Eldar
Djangirov, Tim Ries, and Walter White.
Alex is a sales representative at Tulsa
Band. He currently plays a B&S
Challenger II/3137, Bach C 229/25H, and
Selmer(Paris) Piccolo Trumpet.
Bill Gable, Sales Associate
Bill Gable has played trumpet with: The
Temptations, The Four Tops, Peter
Cetera, Walt Johnson, The Lettermen,
Toni Tennille, Sandy Duncan, Bill
Champlin, Marvin Hamlisch ,Jon Faddis,
Bobby Shew, Marvin Stamm, Bill Watrous,
Steve Wilkerson, Vince Gill, Patti
Page, Roy Clack, Flash Cadillac, Nestor
Torres, Lew Tabakin, Grady Nichols,
Larry Dalton, The Oak Ridge Boys, Donna
McKechnie, and Leona Mitchell as well
as playing for various shows that
travel through Tulsa throughout the
year including: "Chicago", "Annie",
"Big", "Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dream Coat", "Swan Lake",
and "The Sound of Music". Bill plays
trumpet in the Tulsa area with such
organizations as All Star Big Band,
Signature Symphony, Oklahoma Music Hall
of Fame, Sentimental Journey Big Band,
Bartlesville Symphony, Red Bud All-Star
Jazz Band, and the Tulsa Praise
Orchestra. Bill's most notable teacher
was Glenn Stuart who played lead
trumpet with the Stan Kenton Orchestra,
and the Don Ellis Band.

Ronnie Crow, Guitars & Combo Specialist
Ronnie Crowe is a very versatile
musician. His main instrument is
guitar. He is our Guitar/Combo
Specialist and is an effects pedal
junky. Ronnie helps us with all guitar
needs and consults with our customers
on pedal board customizations. He also
teaches guitar at the store 3 days a
week. He is also a very fine trumpet
player and teaches that as well. Ronnie
is still working on his undergrad at
Oral Roberts University. He plays three
days a week at lifechurch.tv, plays in
a local band called Crowe and does
freelance editing for churches around
Tulsa. He plays on Warrior, a Fender
Tele, TopHat Amps, Fulltone, Zvex,
Menatone and Tonebone Pedals and a
Schilke S22 trumpet (what a
combination).

Dale Barnett, Road Sales & Consultant
L. Dale Barnett is the recently retired
director of bands and instrumental
music supervisor at Union High School
in Tulsa, Ok. The band has been one of
the most extensively traveled and
competitive bands in Oklahoma with
contests and awards earned from coast
to coast during his 22 year tenure. The
band has won the Holiday Bowl, Fiesta
Bowl, the Citrus Bowl, the Mid-South
Bands of America Regional and the
Mid-West Regional, as well as 12 O.B.
A. state marching band championships
over the past twenty-one seasons. The
band has also been a finalist at every
B.O.A. Regional it has attended and
been a finalist at Grand Nationals in
Indianapolis 6 times. The reputation
the band has earned and maintained
through yearly competitions has been a
result of consistent high levels of
excellence and has become the trademark
of the Union program.
The Union Wind Symphony has been an Oklahoma Sweepstakes Band for 7 years since 1995. The bands have achieved superior ratings in sight reading for 22 consecutive years and received Superior ratings in Dixie Classic Festivals, DC Festivals, and National Adjudicators Festivals throughout the United States.
Mr. Barnett is currently a member of the Oklahoma Music Educators Association, the Oklahoma Adjudicators Association, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association of which he is past president and the American Federation of Musicians. He has been nominated to the Who's Who of American Teachers and has worked as a freelance trombonist in the Tulsa market for 30 years performing with such artists as Wayne Newton, Liberace, Dionne Warwick, Mel Tormé, Ella Fitzgerald, Suzanne Summers, Pete Fountain, Doc Severinson, Dave Brubeck, and many others. Mr. Barnett was also the Principal Trombonist in the Tulsa Philharmonic for 15 years playing under conductors such as Franco Autori, Skitch Henderson, Murray Sidlin, Tom Lewis, Joel Lazar, Peter Nero and Bernard Rubenstein. Mr. Barnett began playing in the summer series of Starlight Band concerts upon graduation from Oral Roberts University in 1971 and in 2000 was chosen as the music director and president of this local ensemble. Mr. Barnett earned his Bachelors of Music Education from Oral Roberts University in 1971 and also earned his Masters of Music Performance degree from the University of Tulsa in 1982.
Mr. Barnett retired from public school teaching in 2005 and now plays as a freelance trombonist is the Tulsa area, is president and conductor of the Tulsa Starlight Band, judges bands in marching and concert venues throughout the United States and is the personnel manager for Tulsa's Signature Symphony. Dale is Road Sales Consultant for Tulsa Band. He is available for clinician work upon directors request. He is in the store two days a week working the sales floor and teaching privately. He currently plays on the Getzen 3047 AF, Getzen 3508R, and New York Bach 36 straight tenor. His mouthpieces of choice are the Denis Wick 6BL and Schilke 51.
